3rd Africa Food Science and Nutrition Conference Summary:
(The following summary was prepared and approved by the general assembly)
The 3rd African Food Science and Nutrition Conference was held at Pacific Hotel in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. It was organized by the Food Science and Nutrition Network for Africa (FOSNNA) in collaboration with "Centre de Recherche en Sciences Biologiques Alimentaires et Nutritionnelles" (CRSBAN) of University of Ouagadougou, and IPICS. The opening ceremony was made on the behalf of the Minister of high education, (Ministre des Enseignements Secondaire Superieur et de la Recherche Scientifique), represented by his General Secretary. The President of University of Ouagadougou was represented by the Director of Life and Earth Sciences (UFR-SVT) of University of Ouagadougou. The closing ceremony was done in the chair of Vice President of Academic office of the University of Ouagadougou, representing the Minister of higher education. The theme of conference was "Application of Chemistry in food science and nutrition for improved food and nutrition in Africa". more
